Little Talks
Debate around the exhibition Clip/Stamp/Fold, curated by  Beatriz Colomina
6th November, 5 p.m. at CENDEAC

Organised by CENDEAC and COAMU with coorganisers from the Observatorio del Diseño y la Arquitectura de la Región de Murcia, the Universidad de Murcia and the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena. Those wishing to receive academic credits, must enrol and provide proof of their student status .

The exhibition Clip/ Stamp/ Fold, curated by Beatriz Colomina -professor at Princeton University where she founded the  Media and Modernity programme- centres on  the proliferation during the sixties and seventies of little magazines that radically transformed the scene of architecture, turning attention away from buildings and focusing it on the magazines themselves, which emerged as a site for experimentation, innovation and debate. Through a selection of self-published and short-lived  magazines, leaflets, construction manuals and professional publications that lived their “moment of littleness” during this period. The exhibition explores the amazine range and heterogeneity of this fertile era for independent publishing in architecture.Clip/Stamp/Fold opens its research up to the pubic and invites many of the publishers who were part of this phenomenon to get involved with the exhibitio through an ongoing rolling simposium under the moniker Little Talks, the latest edition of which will take place at CENDEAC before the opening night. Guests will include Beatriz Colomina, Francisco Jarauta, José Miguel de Prada Poole as well as a group of key names in  radical architecture and design in Italy during the sixties and seventies: Gian Piero Frassinelli from Superstudio, Gianni Pettena and Ugo la Pietra.
