PHOTOBOOK CLUB MURCIA WORKING GROUP
Photobook Club Murcia is a project organised in collaboration with Cendeac which was conceived as a response to a growing interest for photobooks in Murcia. There are increasingly more and more enthusiasts who wish to see, touch, smell and, in short, experience the pleasure of photography on the printed page.
We believe that paper is the appropriate medium for photography and that the book is the most natural place for the photo-essay. We like books, literature, art, photography but, above all else, we like photobooks.
For this reason, we want to meet up and share our books around a table, to present them, introduce them, touch them and tell others why they are so special and what we can learn from them.
The requirements for taking part are simple: all you have to do is bring along one of your favourite photobooks. During the meetings, each attendant will present the book they have brought, after which it will be open to discussion. The idea is to create a fluid dynamic in which everybody learns from everybody else.
